*disclaimer: not my “big post”*
My grandma didn’t want to watch it this time, so just me and my aunt watched it. She really enjoyed Allegiant, but was confused about why the fringe looked like mars. She was glad to have her questions answered about divergence. I had to inform her at the end that Tris died, and she wishes they made a 4th film to tie it up. On a good not, I convinced my Aunt to begin to read the Divergent series because she wants to see more detail than the movies gave her, so I am excited for that!
So I just finished watching Allegiant a few minutes ago, and I gotta say, it was better than I thought!
Of course I am mad how different it was from the book, but it was cool to see all this futuristic technology. Also I can tell they were trying to make it funny, and at times it was very funny (Peter especially.)
I am confused about why the fringe looked like like Mars and why it was raining blood… Why was there crashed spaceships there as well? Also kinda sad not to see Amar and George in this, and Uriah has literally no lines but he always seemed to be looming behind Johanna. Also Uriah didn’t go to the bureau or die which was strange.
Another thing I noticed is that this movie has a lot of weird breathing? I don’t know if anyone noticed this but there is a lot of background noises which is basically people making weird breathing sounds and noises…
Last but not least, I hate the cliffhanger. I wish this movie would have gotten its sequel and that it wasn’t cancelled, because we gotta know what’s gonna happen with this cliffhanger! I want to start petition for there to be a sequel.
Anyways I actually enjoyed watching this which I did not expect! I rate it a B.
A question that bothers me is that in the movies they refer to the fence as a wall. It definitely does look like a wall because it is very tall and long. In the books does the fence look more like a wall, but for some reason people call it a fence?

SPOILER’S AHEAD!!
(Stop now, if you haven’t read Allegiant yet!)
Have you guys thought about this?
I just finished Allegiant, and realized that Tobias actually faces and overcomes most of his fears throughout the final book.
For instance, Tobias ends up zip-lining in honor of Tris’s memory, which shows that he faced his fear of heights and therefore got over his fear, and another fear he had was of Marcus, his father. Later on throughout the book, Tobias tells that he let that fear go. And his third fear was watching Tris die, in front of his eyes, while this doesn’t exactly happen in front of Tobias’s eyes, Tris does die. So, he actually lives and faces three out of four of his fears. Which leaves him with his fourth and final fear, his fear of confinement.
What I am trying to point out is, Four does not have four fears after Allegiant, he actually has one.
Which makes his new nickname “One”
P.S.
His nickname is Four and will stay as Four, just because his fear count changes doesn’t mean that his name will automatically change. I just thought about this randomly, and thought it was ironic after reading the final book in the series, that’s all :)
Hello, all! I've got a question about the third movie: Allegiant. Possible spoilers ahead!
In the end credits when they tell you who plays which character, there is an entry for "Young Four" played by "Ian Belgard."
I don't recall seeing a younger version of Four throughout the movie. I figure it was in the scene of Marcus getting his memory wiped, but I'm not completely sure.
Does anyone know when he showed and have timestamp or scene?
Because it seemed so or was slightly mentioned when that the Bureau created the attack serum and was shared with Erudite.
Also when the Fear serum was new it was tested on the factionless (or maybe a fringe person) (Can't remember) When Nita injected David with a potent cocktail of Truth Serum and Memory Serum, there were some kind of hints Erudite and the Bureau knew or each others existence and worked together?
I’m here, I deeply apologize for being absent. I even said I was going to be more active on here, but I didn’t. Instead I’ve been working on my Instagram and forgetting all about this. Good job Avery! ANYWAYS I missed all my friends on here and I’m happy to see there’s so many new users! Welcome to all of you, I’m Avery!
Heres a discussion topic for everyone...
What scenes in the movies were the most emotional? This doesn’t have to mean made you cry or upset, but what scenes made you super happy. What scenes connected to you?
For me this is an easy answer, the choosing ceremony. Every time I watch the move, the scene gives me chills. The filming, the set, the acting, and the music bring it all together to capture the emotion and magic of choosing day.
