I'm spamming this forum and I am so sorry. I tried to avoid having to ask for help, but I am dying here. I'm trying to rewrite the full series from Peter's perspective, but it's proving to be a challenge due to the fact that I've been sitting here for an hour going in circles about his aptitude test results.
Amity: This is an easy elimination, but I'll go through it anyways. He's not outwardly kind, which seems to be what those in Amity value. His morals are far from traditional. Despite having some sort of moral code, it is not one many share. He's not polite by any means, either.
Abnegation: Obvious elimination again, but he's very selfish. He is never willing to make a sacrifice for others. Even when he saved Tris, he did it for the sake of helping himself sleep at night.
Candor: The book specifically states that he used to pick fights with kids from other factions because people would believe him when he lied about what happened because he's Candor. He can be brutally honest in a cruel sense sometimes, but not in any way that wouldn't benefit him.
Erudite: While he's clever, he doesn't pursue knowledge as those in Erudite do. He more so is naturally smart and has survival skills, but he's not book smart and doesn't care to be book smart either.
Dauntless: Yes, he's plenty brutal and cruel, but he isn't brave. He runs when Four comes to save Tris (And leaves poor Drew behind :( ), hides behind Four when Edward approaches him, gets two buff (almost) men to help him fight a girl specifically stated to be strong, stabs Edward in the middle of the night while he's asleep, etc, etc. Even in his first appearance, he's reluctant to jump off the train. He's not brave whatsoever.
I'm struggling with the fact that he just doesn't have any of the factions positive attributes. It's very frustrating. I don't want to make him Divergent as that would mess up later events. Here's the fanfiction if seeing my version of Peter helps at all: https://www.wattpad.com/1295056062-monsterous-a-divergent-novel-chapter-one
